In conjunction with one of the two biggest celebrations in Islam, the Eid al-Adha, Mumtaz Generation International Preschool held an educational and meaningful activity to help students understand the significance of Qorban, the act of sacrifice and sharing.

Learning through creative storytelling

To make the lesson engaging and easy to grasp, the school prepared a special setup using paper and cardboard materials. There were model cows, paper-cut pieces of meat, and even a cardboard weighing scale, all thoughtfully created to resemble the real Qorban process.

Through this creative activity, the children were able to visualise and better understand the meaning behind this act of worship.

Understanding the value of giving

This activity also taught them the importance of generosity and kindness in Islam. They discovered that one of the true beauties of Eid al-Adha lies in the spirit of sharing, where the meat from the Qorban is distributed to others, especially to those in need.

The activity helped the children develop valuable skills and values such as:

  • Understanding Faith – learning the meaning and purpose of Eid-al Adha in Islam

  • Generosity – giving and sharing with those in need

  • Creativity – crafting and role-playing the process with imagination

  • Teamwork – working together to complete the activity

It was a day filled with learning, joy, and reflection. We hope that this can be a constant reminder that Eid al-Adha is not just a holiday, but also about compassion, kindness, and giving from the heart.
