Ever wondered what skills your child will need for the future? It’s more than ABCs and 123s.

The world your child will grow up in is changing fast.

Studies show that 65% of children entering primary school today will work in jobs that don’t even exist yet. This means creativity, problem-solving, and innovation will be just as essential as knowing how to read and count. As such, our preschool prepares this by using a S.T.E.A.M. approach to spark curiosity and inspire tomorrow’s innovators.

What is S.T.E.A.M. education?

S.T.E.A.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics — but in preschool, it’s much simpler than it sounds!

It means giving children opportunities to explore, build, experiment, and express their ideas in creative ways.

Why it matters?

Sparks Their Curiosity

Children learn by asking questions and discovering answers.

Builds Problem-Solving Skills

Even stacking blocks teaches balance and design.

Encourages Creativity

Art and imagination are central to innovation.

Promotes Teamwork

Kids collaborate on activities, learning to share ideas.

Prepares for the Future

These skills form a strong foundation for primary school and beyond.

How a parent can include S.T.E.A.M. education at home:

Sink or Float Game

Fill a basin with water, drop in objects (toy car, spoon, leaf) and guess if they sink or float.

The Living Room Fort

Build a fort with pillows, blankets, and chairs.

Shadow Puppets

Use a flashlight or a lamp and your hands to create shadow puppets on a wall.

Creative Arts

Draw, paint, and talk about colors and shapes together.

Sorting Games

Sort toys by size, color, or type — introduce terms like “biggest,” “smallest,” “more,” and “less.”

Curiosity is the starting point for every great idea your child will ever have. With the right guidance at home and in school, that curiosity can be nurtured into confidence, creativity, and a love of learning that lasts well beyond the preschool years.

In our preschool, S.T.E.A.M. time might look like building bridges with straws, mixing colors to see what happens, or using recycled materials to invent a new toy. Every activity is hands-on and age-appropriate — and children love it because it feels like play!
